What a great way to start off 2010 and maintain those New Years' resolutions by getting in the water. First Wave Swim Academy is proud to announce it will be starting a training workout group this month at our home facility in Solana Beach. Whether you are an ex-swimmer who has been away from the pool or someone who has had the desire to swim but has been intimidated by the current groups out there, First Wave Training is perfect for all swimming levels.
Coach Mickey and Coach Matt will begin the swim sessions on Monday, January 11. They will be offered every Monday,Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the Solana Beach Boys & Girls Club. The swim sessions will consist of two separate groups; one catering to the novice swimmer who is looking for more technical support while the other group will have a more structured workout.
In addition to the three weekly swim workouts, Coach Kate will run a cross training component every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10:30am. The cross-training will be organized in advance, with scheduled road work, circuit training, track workouts, etc.
The fee to join the team and take advantage of this training opportunity is $120 per month. The monthly rate includes 20+ hours of coaching per week, monthly newsletters, team functions/events, and 24/7 access to our elite level staff.
